First Drive is an independent driving school based in Chester-le-street, Co. Durham. I cover all towns and villages in Co. Durham and Durham city and also the Gateshead, Birtley and Washington areas. For intensive courses I also cover all areas of Newcastle and North and South Tyneside. 

I have 5 years experience as a driving instructor and i'm fully qualified and registered with the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) to deliver all of your driver training requirements.

Your training vehicle is a Peugeot 307, which is a modern medium sized hatchback and is regularly updated to ensure reliability and is fully insured and fitted with dual controls for your safety and air conditioning for your comfort.

As a First Drive customer you will receive all the information, theory support and driver training you need to become a competent and safe driver, including parent/friend advice should you be able to take private practice alongside your driving lessons.

Driving courses provided by First Drive include single 60 minute lessons, 90 minute lessons, 2 hour lessons and intensive courses. I recommend that a regular course of two single hourly lessons will maintain your concentration levels and the consistency that you learn and develop new skills as well as the enjoyment of learning to drive.

Intensive courses can also be considered as a means to pass your driving test in a shorter time period for instance to gain employment or promotion. I provide a fully inclusive service for all intensive courses which includes providing all theory study materials, booking tests and phone/e-mail consultations should you have any questions or queries outside of the training vehicle.

FREE motorway training is available to all First Drive customers who begin their driving lessons with me and go on to pass the driving test with me. This could be an invaluable offer to you as the motorway networks in the U.K will at some point be an essential method of travel, and because your restricted from driving on motorways as a provisional licence holder you can't gain the necessary skills until your learner driving course has ended.
